Yoko Tsuno was created in 1969 by the Belgian Roger Leloup who signs the scenarios and designs. The series is known for the thoroughness of its decorations, often based on extensive photographic documentation Yoko Tsuno is one of the first female hero of the comic strip. At the end of the ' 60s, one could have imagined that a woman could become a comic strip heroine. Leloup made a universe where they often exercise the usual roles of man, but with their own strengths and weaknesses.
